Monday 4 April – The Character and Qualities of our Young Adults
Father, in the Name of Jesus we thank You for our young adults. Thank You that during and beyond this fast their relationship with You is on a deeper level (Philippians 3:10).
We come before You regarding their character. This is the currency with which they trade in all aspects of life – especially in their relationship with You (Philippians 2:22).
Holy Spirit, You are their Helper (John 14:16). Help our young men to be sober-minded in all things and circumstances (Titus 2:6).
Remind our young men to demonstrate a consistent pattern of good works, to pay attention to sound doctrine only, to always act with integrity and to show reverence and respect where due (Titus 2:7). Where peer pressure rises, help them to remain incorruptible.
May they always have sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that anyone who opposes their faith in Christ may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of them (Titus 2:8).
Likewise, may the young women find Godly, older peers to teach them how to be temperate, to have respect for themselves and others, to be self-controlled, sound in faith, in love and in endurance (Titus 2:2).
Holy Spirit, help our young women to give deep thought as to how they conduct themselves and live their lives. Help them to surround themselves with other Godly young women who are of a good report (Titus 2:3).
Give them the desire to marry and have children - not to make career choices and personal ambition their only focus (Titus 2:4-5).
