Monday 11 April –  Father, Thank You!

  • Father, we thank you for the lives of all the men and women of OLCC.  (1 Tim 2:1).  Thank you for the many boys and girls who have been born and natured here. (Eph 6:4). We are all your workmanship created for good works alone. (Eph 2:10).

  • Thank you for the many marriages and families that have been formed or secured or sustained and developed here.  We continue to hold marriage in honour, esteem it worthy, precious and especially dear.  (Heb 13:4).

  • Thank you for the miracles, healings and provision that we have experienced over the years.  We remember the miracle of Jojo, Jamiel and Daniel.  The fact that all of these boys are alive is a testimony of your goodness and your mercy.  (Lam 3:22-33).

  • We thank you for the members of our church family who have finished their earthly race.  We remember  Earl Foster, Charles Adjei and Thelma Ogunyemi.  We know that they are with you now, in a place which is far better and we look forward to seeing them again when we have finished our race.   (2 Tim 4:7-8, Phil 1:23).

  • Thank you for keeping us together as a church family.   Thank you for staying the hand of envy, division, strife and selfish ambition.  These are all the works of the enemy and we continue to stand against these in Jesus' name.  We are eager to maintain the unity that the Spirit has given us. Your peace is the bond that glues us together.  (James 3:14-16, Eph 4:3).

  • Thank you for the innovative programmes, events and activities that we have had the opportunity to execute over the years.  These have helped in our personal development and have increased the effectiveness of our service to you and others. (Eccl 10:10, Prov 4:7, Prov 24:3-4;2 Peter 3:18).

  • We thank you for events like Healing School with Emily Dotson, Weekends Away, MyTime, and Divine Exchange.  We remember Faith Impact Seminar,  Winterfest, Our Christmas Parties and more recently our Christmas Party for the Elderly,Street Party, LinkingLives and our Off-2-Uni event.

  • We are grateful to you that we do not have any misdemeanours and scandals in our church or its leadership. We ask that you help us to keep it that way.   (Rom 14:16;Rom 12:17;Eph 4:28;1 Cor 6:18;1 Pet 3:15).

  • Father, we thank you that by your grace we are still standing as a church on the other side of covid-19.  We have heard many sad stories of Churches losing buildings and other assets, and members no longer participating or giving to the ministry consistently.  We are thankful that you continue to sustain us.   We thank You because where you guide, you provide. (Ps 91:10; Is 64:4,Is 58:11).

Wednesday  13 April – Let Revival Begin with Us

  • Father, we bow before You as God. You are in charge of everything. Please give each of us the desire and power to obey You in every moment. (Daniel 4:34-35; Philippians 2:13)

  • We reaffirm that our relationship with You is our first priority. Teach us to stay close to You like Jesus did, rejecting pride which leads to destruction, and embracing humility which leads to abundant life. (John 14:10-11; John 15:1-17; 1 Peter 5:5-6).

  • Father help us to make the building of your kingdom a priority.  We want to be faithful servants in God’s house, just as Moses was a faithful servant in God’s house.  (Heb 3:5-6).  Help us to find a good balance in life where we do not neglect your house because of our self ambitions. Help us to truly seek first your kingdom so that all other things may be added unto us. (Matt 6:33).

  • We submit to the authority of the Bible to guide us. Please reveal any thought, attitude, or action in our lives that does not conform to Scripture and to the image of Jesus. (2 Timothy 3:16;James 1:19-27; Galatians 5:16-24).

  • Father, we know that judgement begins in the house of God. We, therefore, judge ourselves so that we will not be judged.   (1 Cor 11:31, 1 Pet 4:17).  We cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of flesh and spirit.  (2 Cor 7:1). In Jesus' name, we get rid of all moral filth and every expression of evil, and humbly accept the word planted in us which is able to save your souls (James 1:20-21).

  • We honestly confess any sins before You, naming them specifically before You now and asking for forgiveness. We promise to repent of whatever You show us to be sin, now or in the future.  (Joel 2:12-13; 1 John 1:9-10).

  • Our desire is to be attentive and obedient to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Fill us with Your power and fullness. (Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 3:16-19).

Daniel 4:34-35,Philippians 2:13, John 14:10-11, John 15:1-17,1 Peter 5:5-6,Heb 3:5-6, Matt 6:33,2 Timothy 3:16,James 1:19-27, Galatians 5:16-24,1 Cor 11:31,1 Pet 4:17,James 1:20-21 Joel 2:12-13, 1 John 1:9-10, Galatians 5:25, Ephesians 3:16-19

Thursday 14  April – Revival and Spiritual Awakening

  • Righteous Lord, we ask You to send sweeping revival even if it takes hard times and great trials to prepare the soil of our hearts.

  • Father, we pray not for shallow selfish ends, but for Your great glory and kingdom. Cause us to come to You in true humility, brokenness and contriteness of heart. (Matthew 26:39; James 4:1-4)

  • Sovereign God, we ask You to rend the heavens and send forth Your awesome “manifest presence.” Cause Your glory to sweep the whole earth bringing unprecedented millions to Christ. We humbly ask You to move even greater than You did in any previous awakening.

  • Purify Your Bride O Christ, and then come Lord Jesus, come quickly! (Isaiah 64:1; Ephesians 5:26-27; Revelation 22:17, 20).

Matthew 26:39, James 4:1-4, Isaiah 64:1, Ephesians 5:26-27,Revelation 22:17, 20

Friday 15 April – We Seek Your Face

  • Father, please give us a healthy fear of You. Move us to care more about Your opinion more than we care about the opinions of others. (Proverbs 1:7; 29:25)

  • Show us the depth of our need for You and shatter our self-sufficiency. (John 15:5; 2 Corinthians 3:5).

  • Change our mindsets so that prayer becomes our first response in every situation. May we seek You in all things. (Philippians 4:6-7; Matthew 6:33).

  • Help us to put all our hope in You. We confess any misplaced trusts, including dependence on our careers, our families or economic strength. (Psalm 43:5; Psalm 20:7).

  • Increase our faith in Your ability to intervene supernaturally in our lives and in the world. Do miracles by Your Spirit in, through, and around us. (Hebrews 11:6; Mark 9:23).

Saturday 16  April – Our Building

  • Father, we thank you for our building. This is the place where we gather to worship you and pray and serve one another  (2 Chronicles 7:12-16). It’s been a blessing to us over the years.

  • We remember clearly how you found and gave this building to us in 2008. We had been asked to leave the school (Willow Brook Primary School) without recourse but in your mercy and grace, you provided this building to us just in time. (Deut 26:8-9).

  • Father, we thank you for leading everyone who played a role in sourcing, refurbishing and beautifying this building to its former glory to enable us to move in within a very short period.  Your steadfast love and provision made this possible. (Exodus 31:1-6, Psalm 136).

  • Father, we bring the present situation with the building and our landlord to you. We don’t understand all the nuances but we know that if the intended sale of the property goes through we will no longer have a home or place or base to serve you from.  We are looking to you for help.

  • Father, we are not against our landlord and we do not believe they are against us.  However, as Jehoshaphat said, “......We are powerless before this vast number that comes to fight against us. We do not know what to do, but we look to you”.  (2 Chron 20:12,Acts 4:29-31).

  • Father-God of our ancestors,  you are the God who is in heaven, and you rule over all the kingdoms of the nations.  Power and might are in your hand, and no one can stand against you.

  • You are the God who drove out the inhabitants of Canaan before your people Israel and who gave it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend. We stand before you, and we cry out to you because of our distress. Hear and deliver. 2 Chron 20:5-12).

  • We still believe that every place that the soles of our feet shall tread upon has been given to us. (Josh 1:3) and you are able to do exceeding, abundantly above all that we can ask, think or imagine, according to the power that is at work within us (Eph 3:20).
