Week 4: Our Personal Lives: Careers, Business and Ministries (Purpose)

Monday 9th March: Our Personal Lives, Careers and Ministry (Purpose) | Our assignment

God is continually speaking about our lives, like a natural parent, he wants the best for us and wants to instruct us along the journey of life. Jesus said his sheep hear his voice, so we must be listening out for his voice in all aspects of our lives.

The biggest advantage a believer has is the ability to hear the Lord clearly. This is why we must be listening out clearly for his instruction

You Are Here for a Purpose. God has placed every one of us on earth for a specific purpose. We are all saved for a unique assignment. His mission for your life is tailor‑made—exclusive, bespoke, and mapped out by Him alone.

No one is here to just make up the numbers or simply populate the planet. Each of us carries a God‑given mandate.

Not everyone will be in full‑time ministry, and not everyone will stand behind a pulpit. But every one of us has a ministry designed by God: Maybe your ministry is in the marketplace

Maybe in the consulting sector, like Mckenzie, maybe it’s in a school as a teacher. Maybe it’s in a hospital as a nurse or doctor.

Wherever God has placed you, you are on assignment. Your role is divine, intentional, and impactful.

Our primary assignment is to reach and establish souls for Christ, make disciples of all nations, regardless of the platform from which we do this. We are called to enforce the finished work of Christ.

God has a unique and tailor-made plan for everyone; however, this does not mean they will fulfil it completely. What our prayer does is to bring us into alignment with his plan/purpose and arrange all the resources we need to fulfil that assignment. He brings across our path all the resources to fulfil our assignment and purpose. These include resources, human helpers in the form of catalysts, navigators, and accelerators. Our prayers align with all we need to fulfil destiny. It creates efficiencies on the journey and brings all the facilitators together.

We are on different journeys, and some are already accomplishing, and some are just starting. Wherever we are on this journey, the Spirit of God will help us tonight as we pray into the Grace for maximum accomplishment. Strength and resources to fulfil our mandate.

Scriptures for the Day 1

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27

Who is blind but my servant, and deaf like the messenger I send? Who is blind like the one in covenant with me, blind like the servant of the Lord? Isaiah 42:19

The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the Lord hath made even both of them. Proverbs 20:12

I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. Psalm 85:8

Tuesday 10th March:  Our Purpose – Divine Direction

For every Christian, there is a prepared path, there is a way, a preplanned, prearranged path for us as children of destiny. Often, we stumble into these plans by chance. We should not just stumble into it by chance, but we should get on this path intentionally and effortlessly.

Prayers help us to navigate and align our lives with these routes. The Holy Spirit, through our prayers, will be our Tour guide. Not born out of accident but born to fulfil destiny. Prayers help us to live directed lives.  Prayerlessness is a show of independence; it’s an arrogant stance that I can do this without him. `

Ephesians 2:10 clearly spells out that there is a planned path for each of us, that he specifically tailored and designed for each of us. A path for our lives, ministries, businesses, families, and careers.

The greatest advantage that great men, have is knowing what to do at any point in time. Knowing the right tools to obtain victory at all times. Knowing when to march round the city, when to blow the trumpet, when to hold up the hand of Moses and when to talk to an Egyptian slave. Knowing when to sing and put the worshippers in front instead of armoured tanks and the army.

Divine Direction is the biggest advantage of the great. For every battle they faced, there was a clear instruction on how to win.

Even our Lord Jesus had divine guidance, knowing what to do at every point in time (John 6:6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.).

Scriptures for the Day

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2: 10 NKJV

For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us]. Ephesians 2: 10 AMPC

Philippians 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.

Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. We need direction so we do not make intellectual decisions.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God Rom 8: 14

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

Wednesday 11th March:  Our Purpose – Divine Direction 2

For the last 2 days, we have prayed into our calling and started praying into divine direction. Divine Direction is the birthright of every child of God, but we must desire it; we must ask for it. It is our responsibility, but we need to develop the accuracy of hearing. As a Christian, you cannot go with the system of the world.

You can’t make it on your own; you cannot navigate the earth’s journey with your skills, degrees, natural training, or MBAs. Earthly wisdom is very limited. God wants you to shine; he wants to showcase you and highlight you, but you need to rely on him.

He wants to talk to you, he wants to fellowship with you through the preached word, his written word and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

Most of the time, our decisions are based on what our physical eyes can see or our ears can hear. Our decisions are based on the information that we have, which can be limited.

For every believer, there is a ‘there’. A place of commanded blessing according to psalm 133: 3. If one is wrongly positioned. He will struggle as a Christian. Filled with the Holy Ghost but sweating, saved but struggling, anointed but stranded. A directionless Christian will always be, and trying to achieve what has already been provided.

David wrote in Psalm 23: 1 The Lord is my shepherd. I will always have everything I need. ERV. One of the primary assignments of the shepherd is protection and provision.

Proverbs 3: 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths

Confusion is the curse of this generation. We need to activate our spiritual Navigator. Spiritual Guidance is the key. Lord, what is the next step? What is the next move for my life? My Career? My ministry, my business?

God wants to lead us because we have limited understanding and gaps in our knowledge, he wants to eagerly lead us so we can avoid pitfalls and move into our God ordained provisions.

Scriptures for the Day

Call to me and I will answer you and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. Jer 33:3 KJV

Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.

Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand). Jer 33:3 AMPC

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 KJV

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom) 2 Corinthians 3:17 AMPC

Thursday 12th March:  Remove every Containment 1

For the last 3 days, we have prayed into our callings and assignments. God’s plan is that we fulfil our purpose with ease. However, we find out that people can be faced with challenges that may frustrate and limit the assignment.

Tonight, we will be praying against all confinements, containments, limitations and restrictions targeted to impede us from rising to our God-ordained positions.

There are often limitations in the life of a believer that can impede them from rising to their highest potential. Tonight, we will address mental (natural) limitations, and tomorrow we will address spiritual Limitations.  As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. We cannot rise above our mindset or thinking. Prov 23:7a

The Israelites said they were like grasshoppers, so it was a mental hindrance. However, hindrances can also be spiritual – (we will look at this tomorrow). Paul said he had an open door, but there were many adversaries (1 Cor 16:9), and Paul wrote to Timothy about those who withstood Moses on his assignment in Egypt (2 Timothy 3:8)

Today, we will address mental or mind limitations. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we will address every negative & limiting mindset, mind blockages, mind dullness and mind blindness, and small thinking.

The ability to step out without fear, inhibitions, or anxiety. We have the mind of Christ and have access to all the resources of heaven.

We will address tonight every form of fear (conscious or unconscious) that causes timidity, Fear of failure, and fear of lack. We pray for liberty of thinking tonight. A free mind, a sound and uncontained mind that thinks like our lord Jesus.

Scriptures for the Day

The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5 We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 – AMP

Don’t be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to him. Romans 12: 2 CEV

Be ye transformed by the renewal of our minds Romans 12:2 KJV

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ 1 Thess 5:23 KJV

For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16 KJV

Woe to you lawyers, because you have taken away the key to knowledge (scriptural truth). You yourselves did not enter, and you held back those who were entering [by your flawed interpretation of God’s word and your man-made tradition].” Luke 11:52 AMP

Flawed belief can prevent one from entering into their provisions

Friday 13th March:  Remove every Containment 2

There are often spiritual limitations in the life of a believer that can impede their ability to rise to their full potential. There are mental and spiritual impediments that can restrict advancements. Yesterday we prayed about mental limitations, today we will address spiritual limitations.

We will speak against the yokes that keep people small. Yokes of family limitations, Career limitations, financial limitations, ministerial limitations, and marital limitations. Yokes that limit human potentials

Isaac told his son Esau that he could break off the yoke of servant hood /subservient when he gained dominion/mastery and became restless (Genesis 27:40 KJV and NASB)

One of the ministries of the anointing of God is to destroy yokes (Isaiah 10:27). Yokes prevent people from going in the right direction. It can slow down, delay, and even limit a believer’s progress. It can eventually cause one not to fulfil their God-ordained destiny.

Tonight, we must pray a bit aggressively against any form of yoke, restriction, embargo, stagnation, and regression. We will dislodge every delay with our prayers. We will give speed to our assignments, ministries, businesses, and all that concerns us.

We will displace oppositions, setbacks, frustrations, challenges, and troubles that will want to slow us down on our destiny Journey.

Scriptures for the Day

For a great door, and effectual, has opened unto me, and there are many adversaries. I Cor 16: 9 KJV

Because there is a wonderful opportunity for me to do some work here. But there are also many people who are against me. I Cor 16: 9 CEV

And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. Isaiah 10:27 KJV

For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.  1 John 3: 8b KJV

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. Acts 10:38 KJV

The oath which he sware to our father Abraham that He would grant unto us that we, being delivered out of the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear Luke 1:73- 74 KJV

Saturday 14 March:  Embracing the Spirit of Wisdom.

Wisdom is a major key to success in our Christian Journey. Wisdom is the principal thing, and it is what will separate and distinguish a Christian in these last days. Jesus operated in wisdom continually; he floored the intellectuals of his day so much that they exclaimed ‘what wisdom is this’? Matthew 13:54

Knowledge is information, understanding is comprehension, and wisdom is application, the proper application of knowledge.

Isaiah 11:2 says and the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. He also had to grow in wisdom according to Luke 2:52. Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God.

There is a wisdom required to navigate the times we are in. This season has defied all the worldly wisdom and laws of Economics.

Daniel was a slave in a foreign land, but there was wisdom to lead. Always knowing what to do.

It is also recorded that mighty works are a direct result of wisdom, Mark 6:2, and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?

Wisdom, the wisdom of God, Uncommon wisdom, Wisdom is significant for Mastery. Wisdom is pertinent for dominion. It is relevant for recognition. The Anointing for uncommon wisdom, the grace for supernatural wisdom. Wisdom is not by age, it is not by degrees or an MBA, it is by strategies. This wisdom is with God, He said to ask, so we are asking tonight

Tonight, we are praying for Insight, Concept, innovations and Ideas and all that is wrapped up in the wisdom of God. We are praying for superior wisdom from above.

Scriptures for the Day

In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:3 KJV

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. James 1:5 KJV

For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6 KJV

And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship. Exodus 31:3 KJV

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Proverbs 4:7 KJV

Wisdom is supreme—so get wisdom. And whatever else you get, get understanding. CSB

For I [Myself] will give you a mouth and such utterance and wisdom that all of your foes combined will be unable to stand against or refute. Luke 21:15 AMPC

And what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? Mark 6: 2b

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption. 1 Corinthians 1:30

Sunday 15 March:  Favour for the Assignment.

Favour and wisdom are the two most important things that are vital for our rising. Favour is the heritage of the redeemed, but it needs to be enforced. It is not automatic.

Favour is defined as an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual, feel or show approval or preference for approval, support, or liking for someone or something, approval, commendation, goodwill, or kindness.

Any human being of significance in the word had the favour of God obviously over their lives. Joseph had favour, Daniel had favour, and even Jesus needed Favour.

Favour is one of the greatest accelerators of destiny. This is so relevant in the world where everyone will use anything at their disposal to advance; we have the advantage of favour. The benefit of preferential treatment. For us to matter on this planet, we need the favour with God and man

One day of favour is bigger and better than 10 years of labour.

Romans 9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

Solomon, the smartest man said

I saw something else under the sun. The race isn’t won by fast runners, or the battle by heroes. Wise people don’t necessarily have food. Intelligent people don’t necessarily have riches, and skilled people don’t necessarily receive special treatment. But time and unpredictable events overtake all of them. (NOG ) Ecc9:11

Favour is God endorsing us, favour supports us, Favours assists us with the people that matter. Men are vital to our destiny. Men are our lifters, connectors, ladders, and accelerators in destiny. We will pray for favour with all the collaborators and catalysts of our destiny.

Favour is God providing us special advantages, God giving us special privileges, God features us, spotlights us and highlights us.

Scriptures for the Day

To proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the free Favors of God profusely abound]. Luke 4:19

And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; Acts 7:10 KJV

For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. Psalm 5:12 KJV

Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong Psalm 30:7 KJV

And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man Luke 2:52

But the Lord was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison Genesis 39:21 KJV

And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty Exodus 3:21 KJV

It is impossible to fulfil our assignment on planet earth without the assistance of God and men. Nearly everything God has planned for a man has to come through men. Even the redemption plan has to be actualised by God coming as man. Tonight we are going to pray that God will supernaturally link us to the men who are relevant to our destiny. Men relevant to our rising.
