WEEK 3: Our Earthly Families

Monday 17 March  – Thanksgiving for Our Families

  • Thank God that He sets the solitary in families.
  • Thank God for the blessing of family.
  • Thank God that His thoughts for our families are of good and not of evil, to give us a future and hope.
  • Thank God for the dominion mandate given to the family.
  • Thank God for His faithfulness in preserving our families and shielding them from evil.
  • Thank God for the various provisions He has made for our families in various seasons.
  • Thank God for peace and unity in our families.
  • Thank God for His divine purpose and plan for each of our families.
  • Thank God for every member of the family and the various roles that each play.

Tuesday 18 March – For the Head of the Home (Husband & Father)

  • Pray that the head of each of our homes will be truly submitted to Christ.
  • Pray that husbands will truly love their wives as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for it.
  • Pray for wisdom in leading the family.
  • Pray that husbands will emulate the servant leadership style of Jesus .
  • Pray that husbands would dwell with their wives with understanding and wisdom.
  • Pray that fathers will not be consumed with anger and will not provoke their children to wrath.
  • Pray that fathers will be good examples of godliness.
  • Pray that fathers be blessed to be providers for their family.
  • Pray that our husbands and fathers will know how to tend (care for) and keep (protect) their families.

Wednesday 19 March – For the Wife & Mother

  • Thank God for the wonderful help meet that our wives and mothers are.
  • Pray that all our wives and mothers will fulfil their godly roles.
  • Pray for a healthy relationship of mutual honour and submission between wives and their husbands.
  • Pray that our wives build peaceful homes and not tear it down with their own hands.
  • Pray that the right wise counsel would be in the mouth of our wives and mothers.
  • Pray that all virtues of the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31 would be found in our wives and mothers.
  • Pray that in any and every way that our wives and mothers have been bowed down they would be loosed to their fullest potentials.
  • Pray that our wives will be joyful mothers of children (None shall be barren).
  • Pray that our wives and mothers will be fruitful vines in every area.
  • Pray that our mothers will be able to preserve the faith and pass it on to the next generations.

Thursday 20 March – For the Children

  • Thank God for the fruit of the womb, the heritage of the Lord.
  • Pray that our children will be as sharp arrows, defeating all enemies at the gate.
  • Declare that our children are for signs and wonders .
  • Pray that none of our children will depart from the training of the Lord (None shall be lost to the faith).
  • Employ angelic guards around all our children in all their ways.
  • Pray against any rebellious spirit in them and instead a humble and obedient spirit shall be theirs.
  • Pray for good and goodly friendships and relationships for all our children.
  • Pray that they will grow up in wisdom, stature and favour with God and man
  • Pray that they would be excellent, ten times better than their fellows.
  • Pray that they would find their gifts, talents, competences and calling early and use them in service of the Lord.

Friday 21 March – For Reconciliation & Unity in our Families

  • Thank God for reconciliation in Christ Jesus and pray that same spirit of reconciliation will be in our families.
  • Pray forgiveness and true healing flow in our families.
  • Pray that we would learn to dwell together in unity.
  • Pray that all our families will be rooted and grounded in the love of God.
  • Pray for restoration for every good thing lost in our families.
  • Pray that our entire households will love and serve the Lord.
  • Pray for the restoration of every prodigal.
  • Pray that our families will thrive and flourish indeed.
  • Pray that every need of our families be supplied by God.
  • Decree that no evil shall befall our families.

Saturday 22 March  – Spiritual Warfare Against Every Plan of the Enemy Against Our Families

  • Thank God that he will always cause us to triumph in Christ Jesus and that we already have the victory for our families.
  • Decree that no weapon fashioned or formed against our families will prosper.
  • Declare that we are not ignorant of the devices of the enemy against our family and his every device shall fail against our families.
  • Pray against unforgiveness in our families and for forgiveness to flow continually.
  • Decree that we escape every net, trap and plan of the enemy against our families.
  • Cast down every imagination, thought and warfare in our minds that sabotage the family unit.
  • Break every divination and enchantment against any member of our families and our families as a whole.
  • Decree and declare that every plot of the enemy against our families will not prevail.
  • Stand on the finished work of Christ as regards your family, declaring that everything written again you is blotted out.
  • Declare that our families are more than conquerors in all things.

Sunday 23 March – For God’s Will for Our Families to be Done

  • Pray that God’s kingdom come, and His will be done as regards our families.
  • Pray that the original dominion mandate from the beginning would be fulfilled in and through our families.
  • Pray that our families will be fruitful and thrive.
  • Pray that our families will be havens of love and unity; where forgiveness and reconciliation flows.
  • Pray that God’s model for the family as delineated in the book of Ephesians will be what our families will look like.
  • Decree that as for you and your family, you will serve the Lord.
  • Pray that God’s good plans for your family’s future will come to pass.
  • Declare that when men say there is a casting down, we shall testify of a lifting up for our families.
  • Pray that God will watch over and protect our families in our going out and coming in.
  • Pray that God will provide for every need of our families as we seek first the kingdom of God.
