Week 4: Our Personal Lives: Careers, Business and Ministries (Purpose)

Monday 24 March – Our Purpose – Assignment 1

God put all of us on earth for a purpose. We are all saved for a unique assignment. He has a mission tailor-made for each one of us. No one is here to make up numbers or to just populate the planet. We are all here for a specific job, exclusive, bespoke journey mapped out by God for each one of us. Not all of us will be in full time ministry, not everyone will have a pulpit ministry but we all have a ministry designated by God for each of us, it may be in the market place like Goldman Sacs or even in a school as teacher or in the hospital as a nurse or doctor.

Our assignment is to reach and establish souls for Christ, make disciples of all nations regardless of the platform from which we do this. We are called to enforce the finished work of Christ.

God has a unique and a tailor-made plan for everyone however this does not mean they will fulfil it completely. What our prayer does is to bring us into alignment with His plan/purpose and arrange all the resources we need to fulfil that assignment; He brings across our path all the resources to fulfil our assignment and purpose. These resources include human helpers in the form of catalysts, navigators, and accelerators. Our prayers align all we need to fulfil destiny. It creates efficiencies on the journey and brings all the facilitators together.

We are on different journeys, and some are already accomplishing, and some are just starting. Wherever we are on this journey the Spirit of God will help us tonight as we pray into the grace for maximum accomplishment,  strength and resources to fulfil our mandate.

Tuesday 25 March: Our Purpose – Divine Direction

For every Christian there is a prepared path, there is a way, a route that is preplanned, a prearranged path for us as children of destiny. A lot of times we stumble into these plans by chance. We should not just stumble into it by chance, but we should get on this path intentionally and effortlessly.

Prayers help us to navigate and align our lives with these routes. The Holy Spirit through our prayers will be our tour guide. Not born out of accident but born to fulfil destiny. Prayers help us to live directed lives. Prayerlessness is a show of independence, it’s an arrogant stance that I can do this without Him. `

Ephesian 2:10 clearly spells out that there is a planned path for each of us, that He specifically tailor-made and designed path for each us. A path for our lives, ministries, businesses, families, a path for our careers.

The greatest advantage that great men have, is knowing what to do at any point in time. Knowing the right tools to obtain victory at all times. Knowing when to march round the city, when to blow the trumpet, when to hold up the hand of Moses and when to talk to an Egyptian slave. Knowing when to sing and put the worshippers in front instead of armoured tanks and the army.

Divine Direction is the biggest weapon of the great. For every battle they faced there was clear instruction on how to win.

Even our lord Jesus had divine direction, knowing what to do at every point in time. (John 6:6 KJV).

We need direction so we do not make intellectual decisions.

Wednesday 26 March: Our Purpose – Divine Direction 2

For the last 2 days we have prayed into our calling and started praying into Divine Direction. Divine Direction is the birthright of every child of God, but we must desire it, we must ask for it, it is not automatic. As a child of God, you cannot do without God. You cannot get far as a Christian with the system of the world.

You can’t make it by yourself, you cannot navigate the earth Journey with your skills alone, degrees or accolade or MBAs and earthly wisdom. God wants to showcase you, He wants to highlight you, but you need to rely on Him.

He wants to talk to you, He wants to fellowship with you through the preached word, His written word and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

Most of the time our decisions are usually based on what our physical eyes can see or hear our decisions are based on the information that we have which can be limited.

For every believer there is a ‘there’.  A place of commanded blessing according to Psalm 133: 3. If one is wrongly positioned he may struggle as a Christian – filled with the Holy Ghost but sweating, struggling and trying to achieve what has already been provided.

David wrote in Psalm 23:1 : The Lord is my shepherd. I will always have everything I need. (ERV).  Protection and provision are among the primary assignments of the shepherd.

Proverbs 3:5 says Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths

Confusion is the curse of this generation. We need to activate our Spiritual Navigator. Spiritual Guidance is the key. Lord what is the next step? What is the next move for my life? My career? My ministry? My business?

God wants to lead us because we have limited understanding and gaps in our knowledge, He wants to eagerly lead us so we can avoid pitfalls and move into our God ordained provisions.

Thursday 27 March: Remove every Containment -1

For the last 3 days we have prayed into our callings and assignments. God’s plan is that we fulfil our purpose with ease. However, we find out that people can be faced with challenges that may want to frustrate and limit the assignment.

Tonight, we will be praying against all confinements, containments, limitations and restrictions targeted to impede us from rising to our God ordained positions.

There are often limitations in the life of a believer that can impede them from rising to their highest potentials. Tonight, we will address mental (natural) limitations and tomorrow we will address spiritual limitations. As a man thinketh in his heart so is he. We cannot rise above our mindset or thinking. Prov 23:7a

Woe to you lawyers, because you have taken away the key to knowledge (scriptural truth). You yourselves did not enter, and you held back those who were entering [by your flawed interpretation of God’s word and your man-made tradition]. Luke 11:52 AMP

Flawed belief can prevent one from entering into their provisions.

The Israelites said they were like grasshoppers so it was a mental hindrance. However hindrances can also be spiritual – (we will look at this tomorrow). Paul said he had an open door but there were many adversaries (1 Cor 16:9) and Paul wrote to Timothy about those that withstood Moses on his assignment in Egypt. (2 Timothy 3:8)

Today we will address mental or mind limitations. By the help of the Holy Spirit we stand and address every negative & limiting mindset, mind blockages, mind dullness and mind blindness, and small thinking.

The ability to step out without fear, inhibitions, or anxiety. We have the mind of Christ and have access to all the resources of heaven.

We will address tonight every form of fear (conscious or unconscious) that causes timidity, fear of failure, fear of lack. We pray liberty of thinking tonight. A free mind, a sound and uncontained mind that thinks like our lord Jesus.

Friday 28 March: Remove every Containment – 2

There are often spiritual limitations in the life of a believer that can impede them from rising to their highest potential. There are mental and spiritual impediments that can restrict advancements. Yesterday we prayed about mental limitations, today we will address spiritual limitations.

We will speak against yokes that keep people small. Yokes of family limitations, career limitations, financial limitations, ministerial limitations, marital limitations. Yokes that limit human potential and patterns that run in the blood line.

Isaac told his son Esau that he could break off the yoke of servanthood /subservience when he gained dominion / mastery and became restless (Genesis 27:40 KJV and NASB)

One of the ministries of the anointing of God is to destroy yokes (Isaiah 10:27). A yoke can prevent people from going in the right direction. It can slow down, delay and even limits the progress of a believers. It can eventually cause one not to fulfil their God ordained destiny.

Tonight, we must pray a bit aggressively against any form of yoke, restriction, embargo, stagnation, and regression. We will dislodge every delay with our prayers. We will give speed to our assignments, ministries, businesses, and all that concerns us.

We will displace oppositions, setbacks, frustrations, challenges, and troubles that will want to slow us down on our destiny journey.

Saturday 29 March: Embracing the Spirit of Wisdom.

Wisdom is a major key to succeed in our Christian Journey. Wisdom is the principal thing, and it is what will separate and distinguish a Christian in these last days. Jesus operated in wisdom continually, He floored the intellectuals of His day so much that they exclaimed ‘what wisdom is this’? (Mark 6:2; Matthew 13:54)

Isaiah 11:2 says ‘And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;‘ He also had to grow in wisdom according to Luke 2:52 Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God.

There is a wisdom required to navigate the times we are in. This season that has defied all the worldly wisdom and laws of economics.

Daniel was a slave in a foreign land, but there was wisdom to lead; always knowing what to do.

It is also recorded that mighty works are a direct result of wisdom Mark 6:2…and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?’

Wisdom; the wisdom of God, uncommon wisdom, wisdom is significant for mastery. Wisdom is pertinent for dominion. It is relevant for recognition. The Anointing for uncommon wisdom, the grace for supernatural wisdom. Wisdom is not by age, it is not by degrees or an MBA strategies. This wisdom is with God, He said to ask so we are asking tonight

Tonight, we are praying for Insight, Concept, Innovations and Ideas and all that is wrapped up in the wisdom of God. We are praying into superior wisdom from above.

Sunday 30 March: Favour for the Assignment

Favour and wisdom are the two most important things that are vital for our rising. Favour is the heritage of the redeemed, but it needs to be enforced. It is not automatic.

Favour is defined as an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual, feel or show approval or preference for approval, support, or liking for someone or something, approval commendation, goodwill kindness.

Any human being of significance in the word had the favour of God obviously over their lives. Joseph had favour, Daniel has favour and even Jesus needed favour.

Favour is one of the greatest accelerators of destiny. This is so relevant in the world, where everyone will use anything at their disposal to advance, we have the advantage of favour, the benefit of preferential treatment. For us to matter on this planet we need favour with God and man

One day of favour is bigger and better than 10 years of labour. So we are going to label the remaining days of 2025, days of favour.

Romans 9:16 says “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

Solomon the smartest man said in Eccl 9:11 (GW) said:

“I saw something else under the sun. The race isn’t won by fast runners, or the battle by heroes. Wise people don’t necessarily have food. Intelligent people don’t necessarily have riches, and skilled people don’t necessarily receive special treatment. But time and unpredictable events overtake all of them.”

Favour is God endorsing us, favour supports us, favours assists us with the people that matter. Men are vital to our destiny. Men are our lifters, connectors, ladders, and accelerators in destiny. We will pray for favour with all the collaborators and catalyst of our destiny.

Favour is God providing us special advantages, God giving us special privileges, God features us, spotlights us and highlights us.
