1. Prosperity covers your spirit, soul, and body and all three are interconnected (3 John 2)

2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

2. Prosperity and healing are not just functions of prayers and fasting. Prosperity and healing are usually underpinned by the following principles. (Jeremiah 32:19).

3. Unbelief has a cure. It is sound teaching. The pre-cursor to unbelief is offence. (Mark 6:2-7).

Monday 4 March – Open My Eyes, Oh Lord

Father, open the eyes of my understanding. Please help me identify the blockers to my faith. Please help me to ask the right questions concerning prosperity and healing.

In Mark 9:17-19, you will notice that Jesus directly answered the disciples’ questions. What if they did not ask? Faith cannot thrive where questions remain unanswered.

17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit; 18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not. 19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me. 20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming. 21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? Tuesday 5 March – The Supply of the Spirit of Jesus

Father, Grant me the supply of your Spirit.

I believe that many times, God answers prayers with insights, ideas, and “visions-pictures of the future.” When we get overly fixated on things, we miss the substance.

9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? – Luke 11:9-13 (KJV).

14 And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. 15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: 16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: 17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. 18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. 19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, 20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. – Philippians 1:14-20 (KJV)

18-21 So how am I to respond? I’ve decided that I really don’t care about their motives, whether mixed, bad, or indifferent. Every time one of them opens his mouth, Christ is proclaimed, so I just cheer them on! And I’m going to keep that celebration going because I know how it’s going to turn out. Through your faithful prayers and the generous response of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, everything he wants to do in and through me will be done. I can hardly wait to continue on my course. I don’t expect to be embarrassed in the least. On the contrary, everything happening to me in this jail only serves to make Christ more accurately known, regardless of whether I live or die. They didn’t shut me up; they gave me a platform! Alive, I’m Christ’s messenger; dead, I’m his prize. Life versus even more life! I can’t lose. – Philippians 1:14-20 (MSG)

Wednesday 6 March – What is in my hand?

Father, open my eyes to appreciate what you have given me.

Our journey to prosperity starts with what we already have. There is something within my reach that can open the door to the next level that I desire. Many people forget that their primary seed is the Word of God and not money. The Bible is clear. The Seed is the Word of God. In fact, in a lot of cases, money could be a hindrance. Sometimes, we succumb to external pressures, elevate what we don’t have and minimise what we have. Hagar’s provision was right next to her, yet she did not see the provision of God. God’s provision always precedes the need.

13 And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed. 14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba. 15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs. 16 And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept. 17 And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation. 19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink. 20 And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer. – Genesis 21:13-20 (KJV)

Remember, even in Eden, the temptation of Adam and Eve was on the premise of what they did not have.

1Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. Lord, grant me the grace to be patient and be delivered from “first solution syndrome”. Please grant me the grace to evaluate before acting. In Gen 1, even God evaluated his own work. Read Genesis 1 and look at the number of times, “and God saw that it was good” before moving on.”

Thursday 7 March –Unbelief

Lord, Help my unbelief. (Mark 9:24)

Unbelief refers to strongholds of thought that may be stemmed in tradition and reinforced by failed attempts to achieve an outcome. Remember, every challenge we face is an opportunity to step into depths of revelation that the likeness of Christ may manifest in our minds or bodies.

23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. 24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. 25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.- Mark 9:23-25

1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. 2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. 3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. 5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. 6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: – Hebrews 4:1-6 (KJV)

Evaluate the long-standing situations by doing this. Check whether (a) the teaching you have exposed yourself to is right, (b) your response to the truth you have heard is right.

17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? 18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. 19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. 20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. 21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. 22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. 23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! 24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 26 And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved? 27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. – Mark 10:17-27 (KJV)

Be careful of the theology that is driving your faith. Study scriptures yourself so you can distinguish yourself.

37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me. 38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. 39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me – Mark 9:37-39 (KJV)

The verses were so crucial that both Mark and Luke (9:49) referred to John’s question. Someone who was not part of the disciples was casting out devils in the name of Jesus. Yet, some early teaching had suggested that name of Jesus gained that power after the death, burial and resurrection. We need to be careful what we define as a requirement for a breakthrough.

Friday 8 March – My Body

I Keep My Body Under.

Our body has a tendency to want to do its own thing, and the extent to which we allow it determines the degree to which the life of God in our spirit shines. Apostle Paul, quite rightly, spoke as though he and his body were two different entities.

26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. – 1 Corinthians 9:26-27 (KJV)

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. – Romans 8:9-13 (KJV)

When certain things are not enforced, it gives room for weeds to grow and sometimes in trying to deal with weeds, we may kill the real thing. I personally believe that sometimes it is easier to use faith to prevent certain things than to use faith to remove them. We should adopt principles of healthy living to avoid greater challenges.

24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. – Matthew 13:24-30 (KJV)

Saturday 9 March –Our Heart and Mouth

We Need Our Heart and Mouth for Supernatural Results.

13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. 14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. 17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. – James 5:13-18 (KJV)

8 But what saith it? Sunday 10 March – Thanksgiving and Praise.

Thanksgiving and Praise Help to Deliver and Preserve Results

God desires that we give thanks in everything. The scriptures are clear about this. However, we need to draw an important point out here. We are giving God thanks for who God is to us and for the knowledge that God will not leave us without grace to go through whatever situation we are going through.

17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 19 Quench not the Spirit.- 1 Thessalonians 5:17-19

The giving of thanks is God’s will, irrespective of the situation. This scripture cannot be used to legitimise the problem as the will of God. Sickness and disease are not what God gives. He gives good and perfect gifts. Of course, life happens, but we are assured that God is always going through life with us.

61 The bands of the wicked have robbed me: but I have not forgotten thy law. 62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments. 63 I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts. – Psalm 119:61-63
